SHAQ BOWL: SUPERBOWL PRE-GAME

OS Studios and Medium Rare turned the Super Bowl pregame into a 10M+ viewer sensation with the SHAQ Bowl.

The Ask

Shaquille O’Neal set out to reinvent the traditional Super Bowl pregame show and create a new form of entertainment that would connect with a modern audience. The challenge was to produce a live, high-energy event that would engage viewers across social platforms and organically integrate a large number of brand sponsors, all from a single location on Big Game Sunday.

The Results

The SHAQ Bowl became the most popular Super Bowl pregame show ever, attracting a massive audience and generating significant media buzz.

What we did

We played a key role in the production of the SHAQ Bowl, an immersive live event broadcast from a custom-built venue in Tampa. Collaborating with Medium Rare and partners, we helped bring the high-energy concept to life.

The event featured a series of viral challenges where two teams of athletes and artists competed for the first-ever SHAQ Bowl Trophy. This format provided a captivating, competitive atmosphere perfectly suited for a multi-platform audience.

How we did it

Broadcast Production

As the broadcast partner, we were responsible for the live 10-camera production from the custom-built venue. Our team handled the real-time direction and technical execution, ensuring a seamless and dynamic four-hour show. We worked with our partner, Medium Rare, to deliver a live broadcast that was both technically flawless and highly engaging.

Content Capture & Distribution

We executed a comprehensive multi-platform broadcast strategy. The live feed was distributed simultaneously across major digital platforms, including YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook Live. This approach maximized reach and helped generate over 82 million social impressions by making the content easily accessible and shareable for fans everywhere.
